Dental Education & Market Use

Fiber posts are used primarily to provide retention for a core restoration when insufficient coronal tooth structure remains after endodontic treatment. Post selection should be based on the anatomy of the root canal and the amount of remaining tooth structure. The post should not be considered a means of inherently strengthening the root.

Use appropriate adhesive, luting and core materials according to the manufacturer's instructions. Post-space preparation, cementation and restoration should follow established endodontic and restorative protocols.
