CIDEX® 2.4% is a high-level disinfectant (HLD) formulated for the processing of heat-sensitive medical and dental instruments. This activated glutaraldehyde solution provides a rapid and reliable kill rate against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis, vegetative bacteria, and fungi. It is particularly effective for decontaminating delicate equipment such as endoscopes, anesthetic equipment, and specialized dental handpieces that cannot undergo steam sterilization. When activated, the solution remains effective for up to 14 days, offering a cost-effective and dependable sterilization alternative for the modern clinic.
