Dental Education & Market Use

Caries detector dyes provide an additional visual aid during cavity preparation. Staining should be interpreted alongside clinical findings because dye uptake alone does not determine whether dentin can be remineralized or must be removed. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application, rinsing, and clinical interpretation.
